Zohran Mamdani's victory in New York has generated hope for an alternative politics and demonstrated the growing disgust towards Donald Trump.

Mamdani campaigned to make the city affordable for the working class while also supporting Palestine, trans and immigrant rights. He unapologetically identified as a socialist and a Muslim.

But since his election, Mamdani has started to soften some of his positions.

This meeting will discuss what the lessons of his success are for the left in the fight for socialism and against Donald Trump.
