Join faculty pianists Peter de Jager and Kristian Chong, head of percussion Brent Miller, and members of MYRIAD (the Percussion Ensemble of the Melbourne Conservatorium) for an enticing exposé of music for keyboards of all types - harpsichord, celeste, percussion and piano. The first half includes the iconic Komboï by Iannix Xenakis for harpsichord and percussion, paired with stellar works by J.S. Bach, Francois Couperin, Sofia Gubaidulina and Karen Tanaka. The second half of the concert features a dazzling reading of Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, for two pianos and a full complement of percussion.
