MINDFUL RIDER WORKSHOP
An Off-Horse Clinic for Any Horseman Seeking a Relaxed, Confident Connection
Do you ever wonder why some riders look more elegant, relaxed, or effective—without seeming to try harder?
Why do their bodies appear quietly connected, balanced, and at ease, even in challenging moments?
Mindful Rider Workshop is a full-day, off-horse, hands-on clinic designed to explore exactly that—by helping horsemen connect more deeply within their own bodies.
We’ll spend the day moving, exploring, and playing with how your body organizes itself—where it’s strong, where it compensates, and where tension quietly lives. Through a variety of guided exercises and interactive “games,” you’ll learn to sense imbalances from side to side, develop more independent movement, and discover what true whole-body connection actually feels like.
What You’ll Explore:
Body awareness and coordination for horsemen
Independence vs. connection — how to have both
Identifying tension patterns, asymmetries, and habits
Practical ways to move with more ease, balance, and confidence
While there are no horses involved, everything we do is directly applicable to riding and horsemanship.
What to Bring:
Lunch
A chair or comfortable seating option
Comfortable clothes you can move in
Dress in typical Oregon winter layers
Bring a helmet if you typically ride with one
All clinic supplies will be provided.
If you’re curious about moving — and riding — with more ease, clarity, and confidence, Connected Horseman is for you.
