The Southeastern Iowa Astronomy Club will open the Witte Observatory Complex BY RESERVATION only to the public.
Note that there IS NO BACK-UP date for this Event. IF the sky condition is sufficiently poor, you will be notified via e-mail that the Event is cancelled.
Saturn will begin rising from the eastern horizon as the Event begins and will be in fine viewing position before the Event ends <3.
The Moon, in its waxing gibbous phase, will be in a good position for viewing as this viewing session begins.
The presence of a relatively bright Moon will make viewing faint nebula challenging. Star clusters and double stars should make GREAT targets ~ if the skies are clear. ;-)
