Join us for a relaxing morning of reading at the refuge! Bring your current read (or buy a new book in our gift shop!) and enjoy the serene sights and sounds of our beautiful 171 acres of preserved land. We’ll spend the first half hour mingling and discussing the books we each brought to read, before spending an hour reading independently. Grab your favorite fall drink and meet us at the fire pit for an hour of cozy reading!
A unique bookmark featuring a Cedar Run resident will be given to all participants!
What is a Silent Book Club?
A Silent Book Club is a more accessible take on a classic book club. There’s no expectations, no deadlines, no one specific book everyone has to read, and (almost) no talking! It takes all the pressure off of the classic book club experience. Silent Book Clubs are simply gatherings where book lovers can connect over their mutual love of reading and enjoy each others company while silently reading the book of their choice independently. If you’ve longed to connect with other book lovers, but the typical book club structure is too intimidating, the Silent Book Club might just be right for you!
