Metro South GP Maternity Shared Care Alignment 1.5 (Session 5)

The Metro South GP Maternity Shared Care Team are excited to announce they will be hosting a Saturday morning event as part of our Alignment 1 Program December 6th, Logan Hospital Auditorium, Meadowbrook 4131 10am-1pm. This session is tailored for practitioners that provide maternity care to families within Logan, Beaudesert, and Redland catchments.

This education event will give you the opportunity to discuss your cases with Paediatricians, Lactation Consultants, Midwives, and your GP colleagues.

The event will focus on:

4th Trimester Care

- Routine Postnatal Care /Maternal Infections / Bleeding

- Jaundice Management / Neonatal Sepsis

- Breastfeeding & Child Health

Recommended pre-reading will be circulated in the fortnight prior.

Light lunch will be provided and self-paid parking is available in the Logan Hospital multi-story carpark.

NOTE: CPD points educational activity and reviewing performance will be available on feedback completion.

The AM1 program will now be presented as a series of short evening & lunchtime events over the course of the year. The sessions will be open to all practitioners who deliver maternity care, but GPs must attend at least 3 events to be recognised as MSHHS aligned.
