Lunch Bunch - Art in Action: South Africa Recap

In September, MillHouse members Beth Beck, Aimee Woolverton, and Dana Brock traveled to Winterveld, South Africa, with Art in Action—a global initiative using creativity to build opportunity and connection.
There, they worked with a group of “Gogos”—grandmothers raising their grandchildren after their parents were unable to. Many had never had access to education or training, yet they are the pillars holding their families and communities together. Through hands-on workshops, the team taught skills in knitting, jewelry making, and sewing—tools for building sustainable livelihoods and creative independence.

Join us as Beth, Aimee, and Dana share stories from this life-changing journey and the lessons learned from the extraordinary women who embody resilience, hope, and the power of creativity.

Lunch Bunch Speaker Series is an informal conversation around topics of interest to members and nonmembers.
Lunch is not provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
