Memory Cafe Visioning Session

A Memory Café is a welcoming, non-clinical social gathering for people with memory loss (like dementia or mild cognitive impairment), their families, friends, and caregivers, offering a safe, supportive space to connect, share, and enjoy conversation, focusing on strengths and enjoyment rather than diagnosis. It provides companionship, reduces isolation, and offers a break from the challenges of caregiving.

This visioning session is for patients, caregivers, and those who think they might be able to take part as facilitators. This idea came from local physician Dr. Bill Carlson, who will be in attendance and is willing to participate. We have no idea how this concept will pan out; we only wish to see if there is a need, and how we might meet that need if there is interest. Our only aim is to serve.
