Gardening Session at Petersen Park

Planted by children from Youth and Family Center of McHenry County, with help from the Conversacion de Conservacion coalition of environmental groups, this native garden provides habitat for all kinds of pollinating insects. Come and help to plant more flowers and grasses, collect seed, and remove weeds. This is a great way to learn how to grow natives! Bring a water bottle. and gardening gloves. Extra gloves, tools and snacks will be provided.
