Star Party 2025

Join us for the 2025 Star Party! Come star-gaze with the Boise Astronomical Society’s telescopes!

Location: Ponderosa State Park- Activity Center

Date: Friday, August 22nd
9:30 PM-Midnight- Star Party- star-gazing on the Activity Center lawn!

Saturday, August 23rd
10-11 AM Junior Rangers- "Suns and Stars"- Come make sun catchers and sun prints with us and then safely view the sun through a telescope!

11 AM-1 PM- Come to the Activity Center to safely view the sun through one of Boise Astronomical Society's specialized telescopes!

8 PM Presentation

9:30 PM- midnight- Star Party! More star-gazing- if you get lucky come see Saturn, nebulas, and if you stay up late enough- even Jupiter!

If you have red head lamps- please bring those to help your eyes better adjust to night-time vision. Also if you are planning to drive to the Activity Center- please park with your headlights facing away from the building!

If parking at the Activity Center, please park with headlights facing away from the building.
