Great Hills Park Cleanup (Part 2)

PARK VOLUNTEER DAY! 🌳 An amazing group of neighborhood volunteers removed almost 3,000 pounds of brush from Great Hills Neighborhood Park in May, but there’s more to be done. We're teaming up again with the Austin Parks Foundation to reduce fire risk by removing “dead-and-down” brush left over from the 2023 ice storm. We’d love to see you there!

This cleanup is an ongoing pilot project for a low-cost fire mitigation solution. Fires are a growing threat, but your volunteer efforts will help protect the surrounding neighborhood! 🔥💪

We'll meet at the Sierra Nevada Trailhead. Wear long sleeves and pants to protect from scratches, and bring your reusable water bottle. Thank you for giving back to our parks and green spaces!
