FREE! Tree Selection Talk & Plant Clinic@Leaf North

Join us for a Tree Selection Talk during the Master Gardener Plant Clinic at Leaf Landscape Supply North. Travis County Master Gardener Yvonne Schneider will be conducting a short talk on tree selection and care at 10:30 am on October 12th. Throughout the day, Yvonne will be joined by several other Master Gardeners who can answer questions on tyour he best plants for the Austin area, lawn care, fertilizers, pest management, landscaping challenges, vegetable gardens, and native plants. They'll also have a "Suck a Bug" activity for the kids! Look for their table at the Leaf Landscape Supply North, 13292 Pond Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78729.

In addition to sharing their experience and training, several publications are on hand for you to review or take with you. You’ll find the Native and Adapted Landscape Plants Guide along with other timely Grow Green FAQ sheets. Grow Green is a joint program with the City of Austin Watershed Department and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. You can also pick up a copy of the Vegetable Garden Planting Guide and recommended Vegetable Varieties for Central Texas. Several more resources are available online. What is a Plant Clinic?
The Master Gardener Plant Clinic is a traveling help desk with Travis County Master Gardeners available to answer questions on various horticultural issues. Look for them out front or in the nursery for the Plant Clinic at Leaf Landscape Supply North.

Who are Master Gardeners?
Master Gardeners are volunteers for the Travis County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension service. In order to become a Master Gardener, each individual receives extensive horticultural training. Master Gardeners use their training and subsequent commitment for continuing education to help Austin area residents with their gardening questions.
