CCCD - Soil Health Event: Pollinator Corner Garden & Composting

June 17th, 2025 at 6:00pm at the McCune Public Library. All ages are welcome and encouraged.

We will provide a sandwich supper. Details tentative as that is being planned.

Registration is in May 2025. Required. Call the McCune Public Library in McCune, KS to register. There is a $7.00 registration fee. Limit of 15 households.

(1.) We have Kenneth Dodson with K-State Research and Extension coming to do a presentation on how to plant a diverse native, pollinator garden. This will be planted at the library itself as a gift and after the demo we will give each registered household a gift of pollinator plants to take home and plant themselves.

(2.) Also we have Adaven Rohling with K-State Research and Extension coming to do a presentation on how to do composting. We are looking into getting compost bins for both demo at the library (which the library will keep) as well as to give to each registered household to take home and use.
