Prepare for a mind-bending night of progressive fusion, featuring the high-octane jams of Leon Trout alongside the virtuosic bass wizardry of John Ferrara of Consider the Source.
Hailing from Massachusetts, Leon Trout is a four-piece jam-influenced rock band built to shatter expectations. Their sound pulls from rock, metal, funk, and psychedelic grooves, delivering a set packed with foot-stomping riffs, head-banging energy, and fearless musical left turns. Known for inventive cover mashups and seamless song-to-song transitions, Leon Trout keeps audiences guessing and locked in from the first note to the last.
With appearances at regional festivals including Northlands, StrangeCreek, Wormtown, Jerry Jam, and the Harry Brown Festival, the Trout brand continues to grow across New England and beyond. The band has performed on a vendor stage at Bonnaroo with Wormtown Trading Co. and successfully produced their own festival, TroutStock, for five consecutive years. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Redman, Method Man, Emancipator, GRiZ, Dirtwire, Dopapod, Leftover Salmon, TAUK, The Magic Beans, lespecial, Consider the Source, and Bella’s Bartok, among many others.
Catch a Leon Trout show and expect spicy grooves, blistering guitar solos, and a crowd buzzing for more long after the lights come up.
John Ferrara brings a masterclass in modern bass innovation to the night. From a creative New York upbringing to the forefront of progressive music, Ferrara is best known for his groundbreaking two-handed tapping technique and genre-defying work with the acclaimed world-fusion group Consider the Source. In addition to his solo work, he is a founding member of the psychedelic prog band Mono Means One, consistently pushing the boundaries of what the bass can do.
