SCHEDULE:
1:00-2:00 PM Intro to Acting (presented by Aja Rodriguez)
Curious about acting and not sure where to start? This workshop uses fun, interactive games to help explore how body, character, and voice bring characters to life. We will also give some tips on how to use a script and work with cast members, stage hands, and your directing team. Bring your energy, questions, and an open mind!
2:00-3:00 PM A Director’s Guide to Making Meaningful Movement (presented by Nicci Grigsby)
Directors of any level of experience are welcome to attend this workshop. Attendees should prepare to learn, discuss, and practice techniques regarding the following topics: Mindful Staging, Purposeful Blocking, and Communicating Movement.
3:00-4:00 PM FCP Volunteering 101 (presented by FCP Board Members)
In this general theatre workshop, you will learn the basics of volunteering with Foothills Community Players! Catch the inside scoop of a typical production schedule, what your backstage role entails, some design and construction basics, and how you can get involved with FCP.
