Workers Over Billionaires: Labor Day Protest
Hosted by Berkeley Indivisible
Join us for a powerful protest “Workers Over Billionaires” on Monday, September 1st (Labor Day) organized by Berkeley Indivisible as we stand against the ongoing war on working people waged by billionaires and their allies in the administration, ICE, and law enforcement.
Where: Corner of King and Queen St, downtown Martinsburg
When: 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Our Commitment
Working people built this nation, and we know how to take care of each other. We won’t back down—we will never stop fighting for our families and the rights and freedoms that ensure access to opportunity and a better life for all Americans. The billionaire's time is up!
What We Stand For
This Labor Day, we unite to fight for:
• Public Schools over Private Profits: Demand fully funded education for all.
• Healthcare over Hedge Funds: Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and essential programs for working people.
• Shared Prosperity over Corporate Politics: Stop the billionaire takeover and rampant corruption of the Trump administration.
• Justice for All Communities: Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all marginalized communities.
• Invest in People, Not Wars: Reallocate funds from military aid that supports actions against human rights to prioritize housing, healthcare, and community needs.
Important Safety Information
A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
