Make Wednesdays your favorite day of the week. Class consists of 4 weeks, perfect for the beginner with absolutely no experience or those looking to refine their pottery wheel skills.
What to expect: 1st class we'll learn basic hand building techniques & how to attach clay properly. Most of the classes will be spent on the pottery wheel, learning & practicing to center and how to pull a wall, not necessarily make something. Over the course of 4 weeks, you'll learn about different stages of clay, through hands on making process. Last class is learning how to glaze (paint) so you can finish up your favorite art work. Last 15 minutes of each class devoted to clean up.
This intro class can be taken multiple times, before going to intermediate level. The only thing you'll need to bring is your creativity, and a hand towel you don't mind getting dirty.
Workshop includes :
* 8 total studio hours:
* Basic set of premium pottery wheel tools to borrow
* Premium studio clay to rent
* Rental of basic pottery equipment
* A personal shelf in the studio to store your work during course
* Glaze & glaze materials
* Firing & glazing of (1) favorite item ( Chosen work must be structural sound )
Optional additional services & fees:
Since we are an inclusive studio, and try to keep this class accessible for folks. Options to fire/glaze your extra art work made during 4-week course are available for additional fee. * Note : Absolutely No outside clay or glaze permitted in studio.
