A birding trip to Tring Reservoirs

Our visit will consist of a circular walk of just over 3km around the reservoir, taking in lake-side views, the grand union canal and open fields. The path is generally good but can be uneven and muddy in places. There are few, if any, places to sit down and rest.

Afterwards, we intend having lunch at The Anglers Retreat, a traditional pub serving good value home-cooked food, but they won't mind if some of us simply go home.

The event is free but a voluntary donation of £2 per person is suggested.

Parking spaces are limited so please try and car share. If you would like to do that but are not sure who else is attending, feel free to email the organiser, Rob Blythe, on cmJibHl0aGUgfCBob3RtYWlsICEgY29t. Give him your phone number, your address, whether you would prefer to drive, be a passenger or either of those, and whether you intend staying for lunch afterwards. By doing so, you are giving him permission to pass on your contact details to others attending the event to see whether car sharing is viable.
