UWF Day Away

Twice a year the women of the church plan a “day away,” a day away from our usual responsibilities, in order to connect with God, to recharge our batteries, and to enjoy God’s beautiful world. We will leave the church at 10 am to caravan to a nearby state park where we will have the day to enjoy doing whatever we’d like. This unstructured day is for you to enjoy. Some women go hiking, some read in the lounge or work on their scrapbooks, and others visit with friends and enjoy the fireplace. We will have devotions at 3 pm in the lodge lounge, and dinner together at 5 pm in the lodge restaurant, and otherwise, the day is up to you. Bring your lunch (or eat in the restaurant), and a Bible and whatever else you’d like. We’re usually home by 10 PM. Remember that Jesus withdrew to the wilderness to pray and relax, so we are following His example. Contact Theresa for more information.
