This is the first of many other "Eat and Greets" to come! We want to know the communities we are collaborating with to create a new food system. We can all dream of what that looks like together! Join us for a warm, welcoming afternoon of food, community, and connection at the Laurel Community Center. This free event is open to everyone — whether you’re curious about the new MadCo Food Coalition, looking for ways to get involved, or simply want to enjoy a hearty, local farm–fresh meal. There is no expectation to participate beyond showing up and eating. If you just need a meal, you’re in the right place. If you’re excited to plug in and help build a stronger local food system, you’re in the right place too!
Event Timeline
2:00–4:00 PM — Social Hour & Appetizers
• Socialize with Madco FoodCo representatives and neighbors
• Learn about the MadCo FoodCo
• Explore volunteer opportunities and ways to plug in
• Relax, chat, help with dinner prep (optional), or simply enjoy being in community
4:00–7:00 PM — FREE Local Farm Fresh Meal
• A hot, delicious meal made from Madison County farm ingredients
• More chances to meet the Coalition team and learn about the organization and how to participate
• Plenty of space to simply eat, rest, and enjoy the evening with others
Come gather, eat, connect, and help shape the future of local food resilience in our county. Everyone is welcome!
