Stay for the fireflies: Bring an extra layer of clothing and stay as long as you like under the stars and blinking lights
This is a special time of year when the fireflies spark in abundance. Here at the Inner Wolf Retreat Space, there are a variety. The latter part of May and the first two weeks in June are the best. Several different types flickering and glowing, even synchronizing. Hundreds of them. Even the blue ghost fireflies too! There is a huge lawn space and plenty of chairs for a easy viewing immersion. We will bring a gong out to enhance the viewing.
This is a magical 3 week season not to be missed! They light up in late May and go dark mid June
We start In the Sound Pyramid (Barn) by 8:00pm for a sound meditation journey for about one hour, then migrate to the field for extraordinary up close immersion. Indoors for the sound and outdoors for the viewing We will have tea and water available.
Dress in layers as it cools in the eve here in Wolf Laurel. Please bring a chair and water bottle for outside; we have a few chairs here if needed.
What is "Sound Healing"?
We have found it to be a blend of non rhythmic overtones of a large range of frequencies. The sound current is heard and felt from inside you as it permeates your cells. The sound helps clear and restore your physical and energetic fields.

David Heiss specializes in Self-Discovery using sound alchemy though blending unique sounds with instruments including many gongs, crystal bowls, and other abstract sounding pieces creating a abstract symphony of sound overtones to create a healing restorative experience. Being an Evolutionary Astrologer, he offers natal chart readings to assist in your self-discovery process as he has used these divine arts in his own healing process with results. He has been working with stars and sounds, AKA Gongs and Astrology since 2012. His intention is to create a space through sound to help you realize more of who you are.
David discovered the healing vibration of Gongs in 2012 after a powerful spontaneous Kundalini Awakening and has ever since been drawn to Self-Discovery by Knowing Thy-Self. Convinced that the stars are inside of us, he uses sound and evolutionary astrology to discover who we are and why we are here finding our souls purpose on earth. About Kathryn
Kathryn Binks has spent most of her adult life immersed in the world of hospitality, working as a private concierge and event planner in Vail, CO. Her passion for food and memorable gatherings led her to create Rocky Mountain Raclette, a niche catering business specializing in private dinner parties and larger events which she owned and operated for seven years. In 2021, seeking a lifestyle shift aligned with her deeper passions, Kathryn relocated to Asheville to pursue her dream of hosting retreats, embracing the philosophy of “food as medicine,” and expanding her catering expertise. She is now the proud owner of Pineapple Sage Wellness at Franny’s Farm in Leicester, where she curates unique events, caters intimate dinner parties, hosts tea gatherings, and collaborates with other healing artists to create meaningful experiences centered around nourishment and community.
