Join us (( in the belly of the beats )) for an immaculate feast of devoured sounds and monster mash-ups / geleia geral / from the minds of mastermixers – featuring rising club visionary OMOLOKO all the way from Belo Horizonte, BRAZIL.
Re.Sonância is the brainchild of Astronafrica (co-father of Mixagi and former Vibez Brazil radio host) aka Raphael Brasil, whose long-simmering enthusiasm for mashing Anthropophagist* and Afro-futurist concepts have culminated in an exquisite line-up of artists tackling Anthropophagic translations of club sounds.
(*See: Cultural cannibalism as artistic resistance a lá Brazil’s Tropicália movement 1960s/70s)
Brewing in this fish soup of sonic epicuriousity, Re.Sonãncia is the pulse of a collective dreaming space where Discoteca Tropical, Planet Trip Records and Disco.necta collide, fusing delicious electr0rganic detours to ride from the edge of your seat.
With 3 back-to-backs to keep the toes on fire…
Lu Faria x Dus ((pushing the needle as Disco.necta unplugged))
Señor Bolivar x Astronafrica ((heavyweight selectors' first-time collab))
Fanático Crew ((coming in hot with their crates full of treasures))
…and Mariachi stoking the flames with her fiery bundle of Brasilidades outside the box…
This panela’s heat will rise to a peak in the palm of Omoloko’s hands, where deep dives and broken beats merge and diverge in his signature style of musical maluqueza, love and dexterity. Leading the charge in Brazil’s innovative and inclusive club scene as the co-founder of iconic events such as 101Ø, CurraL, and Mathosa, and currently touring the world with his expansive, unpredictable and mesmerizing sets, Re.Sonãncia is ready to tremor in Omoloko’s colossal blend of House / Disco / Kwaito / Techno / Brazilian Funk and beyond.
