Led by 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨, the “New-Dynamic Orchestra” are an exciting new jazz orchestra featuring some of the finest musicians in Sydney. This band seeks to celebrate tradition, innovative composition, unheard voices, and premiere new compositions. They will play works by Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, Oliver Nelson, Claudia Döffinger, Chiara Minotto & more!

They will be supported by 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞, a guitarist based in Eora/Sydney, currently studying Jazz Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. An active musician across Sydney’s music scene, Ruby was a featured artist in Booker Magazine’s Issue #02 ‘Fluctuations’ in 2024.
Ruby has learnt from esteemed Australian jazz musicians including Steve Brien, John Morrison and Kevin Hunt, and has completed the Young Women’s Jazz Workshop, learning and playing with Australia’s most established female musicians. Ruby has played at prestigious jazz festivals including Manly Jazz Festival, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Cronulla Jazz Festival and Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival in various groups, including Andrew Dickeson’s trio ‘The Cookers’.
