Josh Shipton is a Sydney-based musician whose primary purpose is to avoid the middle of the road. Frontman and songwriter for The Blue Eyed Ravens, bassist for Shark Arm, The Valentitanic Trio, The Siren Of Silence, Sly Fox, Delusions Of Grandeur and The Useful Box, and then there’s the really weird stuff.
He’s been painting and drawing and sticking things to other things for as long as he can remember. However, recently, his friend and bandmate Michael Kennett, asked for a piece of cover art that wasn’t collage that started the torrent of work that features in this exhibition.
Constantly inspired by the art of his partner, Danielle, he’s been producing some brand new works dealing largely with disease, the abyss, decay and death, whilst maintaining his “wicked sense of humour”*.
He also has a cat. His cat’s name is Zeus.

Danielle Melody Archer is a Sydney-based mixed media artist working primarily with oils and reclaimed materials.
Her practice is visceral and intuitive, grounded in emotive and organic themes that echo the transience of the human condition. Embellishing each piece with recycled and found objects, Archer embraces imperfection and impermanence, allowing the material history of each item to speak.
Her work explores existentialism through familiar iconography and archetypes, creating a dialogue between the deeply personal and the universally recognisable. Whether evoking the body, memory, or nature, her layered compositions pull viewers into a space where fragility and resilience coexist.
