Good News Assembly of God in Marlette, MI is facing several significant building challenges: most urgently, a lack of insulation and proper ventilation in parts of the ceiling and attic. This has caused major heat loss during the winter, leading to frozen and burst pipes (especially in the bathroom), ice damming on the roof, and interior drywall damage.
Michigan Men’s Ministry and Church Mobilization will be partnering together for a Servant Hands Weekend on December 5–6, 2025, to help this church take the first step in a much-needed, two-phase restoration project.
During this first phase, we plan to:
- Add/replace insulation in the ceiling/attic
- Correct ventilation issues in the attic/roof
- Plumbing and construction repairs in the bathroom
- Drywall repair in the main hallway and electrical room
- Paint touch-ups in repaired areas
Our goal is to stop further winter damage and and help restore the building so the church can continue its ministry to the Marlette community.
