Join us for this two-day workshop where you'll craft your own Celtic-inspired stool using traditional woodworking tools. You'll work with a shave horse and drawknife to shape the legs of your stool, then use a tenon cutter to precisely fit the legs to the seat.
The stool's seat design is inspired by the Celtic Triquetra, also known as the Trinity Knot. This timeless symbol features three interlaced, leaf-like shapes, often surrounded by a circular line. Despite its simplicity, the Triquetra holds a profound and beautiful meaning.
Believed to represent eternal life and spiritual unity, the Triquetra’s origins are somewhat mysterious. Some theories link its meaning to the Christian Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—while others point to the Celts’ tradition of grouping significant concepts in threes. Regardless of its origin, the Trinity Knot remains a powerful and enduring symbol of connection and unity.
Create your own piece of history while exploring the beauty and symbolism of Celtic design.
Beginners course no previous woodwork experience is necessary.
