Heritage Day

Join us for our annual Heritage Day.

This year will include demonstrations of 18th tailoring, timber framing, butter making, blacksmithing and bee keeping.

Authors Karl Stewart and Susan Apps-Bodilly will also be there. Susan Apps-Bodilly will be giving a presentation about rural one room school houses at 2pm. At that time, the buildings will be closed so all our volunteers who would like to see the presentation can.

We will also have our world famous pie and ice cream as well!

The best part? Everything is free!

So come on down and learn a thing or two about Markesan's history. Tour the buildings. Talk with the tailor. Watch the blacksmith. Try your hand at timber framing. Make your butter while learning about bees. Pick up a book and then have pie and ice cream like Grandma used to serve you!
