The Appalachian Spirit Gallery, 144 West Main Street in Marion Va. will be celebrating their last Artwalk for the year with a great night of art, music and food planned for their December 12, 2025 Second Friday ArtWalk.
In the Gallery's continuing efforts to showcase the talent of musicians living within a 50 mile radius of Marion, the December Artwalk event will feature an exciting Christmas Carols music and sing along concert by Mark Merz
The Gallery will open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the informal music concert beginning at 6 p.m. The Mark Merz concert is sponsored by the Bank of Marion.
During the December Artwalk visitors will also have the opportunity to check out the Gallery's Christmas Sale of beautiful handmade cards, pottery, jewelry, baskets, cutting boards, wooden bowls and utensils, window sun catchers, photographs, paintings, hand crafted books, bookmarks and so much more now showcased at the gallery. There will be lots of items to choose from, with many items priced less than $15.
More work on display in December by all the Appalachian Spirit Gallery members include paintings, executed in oils, watercolors, acrylics, alcohol inks and mixed media; photography, felted works, quilts, baskets, stained glass and more.

The monthly Second Friday ArtWalks are always free and open to the public. The Appalachian Spirit Gallery will close for the year on December18, 2025 in order for the artists to create more work and pursue other endeavors. The gallery will reopen again in April 2026.
