Kaj danes pomeni biti ustvarjalni producent na področju dokumentarnega filma? Victor Ede, nagrajeni neodvisni producent iz Marseilla, bo spregovoril o svoji poti v produkcijo, o »sindromu zbiranja« in političnih plasteh filmske industrije. Skozi izbrane študije primerov in filmske napovednike bo predstavil najpomembnejšo fazo odnosa med producentom in režiserjem – razvoj projekta. Predavanje bo osvetlilo različne pristope k ustvarjalnemu sodelovanju ter izzive, s katerimi se soočajo neodvisni producenti na mednarodnem prizorišču.

What does it mean to be a creative producer in the documentary field today? Victor Ede, an award-winning independent producer from Marseille, will reflect on his journey into production, the “collection syndrome,” and the political layers of the film industry. Through selected case studies and film trailers, he will explore the most important phase of the producer–director relationship: development. The session will highlight different approaches to building creative collaborations and the challenges of sustaining independence in the international arena.
