To inspire and empower our residents to create beautiful firewise gardens, we’ve partnered with The Forever Project to host a firewise garden demonstration workshop in Gracetown 💚
Located opposite Gracie’s General Store, this high-profile area was earmarked for a new garden – presenting a fantastic opportunity to not only create a firewise garden but also to bring our community together so you can see the real ways you can implement these firewise principles into your own home.
Join our community launch and workshop event on Saturday 13 September, 11am - 12pm 🌳
In the workshop, we will cover firewise landscaping practices, creating defensible spaces and the use of fire-retardant plants and materials.
We encourage you to walk or ride down, or alternatively if you are driving, please park at the beach and walk down.
Can’t make the event, but keen to learn more about firewise gardens? The site will include educational signage to empower residents to create and install their own firewise landscapes as part of their bushfire preparedness.
