Come to Camp Champions with us!
Girls and adults (men and women) must be current Girl Scouts. No tagalongs. The cost is the same for all folks attending: $105. Dads will be in a separate cabin from all the girls and women.
Camp Champions staff provides
-Lifeguards and activity leaders (except for crafts and free time)
-Sports equipment for pickleball, GaGa, etc
-Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner
-Saturday campfire and s’mores (one per person)
-Sunday breakfast
Activities
Each girl is given the chance to vote for her preferred activities. The highest voted items are what everyone in that level gets scheduled for; there is no individual customization. At any time, girls can opt out and choose their own “free time” instead of doing the scheduled activity, but there is no alternate activity offered and no make up time for a missed activity. Free time can be spent napping, showering, reading, crafting, or exploring the campgrounds.
Saturday evening campfire
We start with a SWAPS exchange before each troop performs their song or skit for the group. After their performance, they get a s’more. The staff enjoy when we share SWAPS with them.
Misc Info
Food is not allowed in the cabins. Any snacks (which are recommended during the day on Saturday) will need to remain in your vehicle overnight. Campers must supply their own bedding (twin linens or sleeping bag) and towels, in addition to weather appropriate clothing and hygiene items. Pack swimwear. Be prepared for unexpected weather. Wear layers and label everything.
Camp Champions provides trained lifeguards / facilitators for all organized activities. Troops are on their own for free time and crafts; there is space available for GaGa, Four Square, Pickleball, and more. Camp Champions does not have a full-time nurse on the premises nor does Camp Champions provide transportation for emergency purposes. Bring your own first aid supplies.
The buildings are not climate controlled, but cabins have fans and good air circulation with limited electrical outlets. A power strip may be useful. Showers may be cold, and there will be spiders around the camp.
