Whiskey Dram Sunday: Smoky & Oaky

Ah yes, late October! The kids are ready for Halloween, the leaves have changed colors, and there's a hint of smoke on the air. This all has us ready for a hint of smoke in our whiskey glass, and sometimes, more than just a hint! If that sounds like you as well, we hope you'll join us on Sunday, October 26th for another fun and informative Whiskey Dram Sunday here at Vom Fass!Now, we may might find anything "fun" about a "fun sized" version of our favorite candy bar, just you'll find a lot of fun (and a lot to taste!) at our next monthly themed whiskey tasting! As mentioned, we'll be exploring whiskeys that pair perfectly with sweaters and a seat around the fire pit once the sun goes down.

Though subject to change, the three whiskeys will be featuring in October include:Black Forest German Peated Whiskey: A single malt from Germany's Black Forest that strikes a harmonious balance between dark fruit and woody smoke.Two Casks Blended Malt: A blend of two Scottish single malts masterfully combined to highlight the smokiness of an Islay scotch and the sweetness of a sherry cask aged Speyside scotch.The Cragabus Blended Malt: This one is for the peat lovers! A blend of five well-known and historic Islay distilleries including one that has only recently reopened after being shuttered for over 40 years.Now you won't find any of these whiskeys anywhere but at a Vom Fass, and you won't find your seats for this event if you wait too long to reserve yours! Tickets for this event are just $18/person and include a tasting flight of the three whiskeys listed above as well a full dram (1 1/2 oz pour) of your choice of almost anything from our wall of spirits! Come taste with us and discover for yourself why some people just can't get enough of those smoky flavors!
