NAIDOC Edor Carnival Cairns 2025!!

This FREE carnival is getting bigger and bigger every year, with a grassroots approach giving opportunity for 8-17yrs to participant in this fun competitive game celebrating the continuation of this Traditional Indigenous Game originating from Aurukun Aboriginal Community in Cape York. ⚫️🟡🔴
A modernised version is played barefoot on a grass field with oz tags and two goals. The aim of the game is for the person with the 'Edor' to pass through the goals with both tags on. The opposing team tries to remove the 'Edor's tag so they become the ‘Edor’ and run towards their goal. The ‘Edor’ switches between teams very quickly so it is very fast paced game involving running, tagging and chasing. It is suitable for all skill levels and easy to learn. 🏃🏾🏃🏾♀️
Individuals can register on the day between 9am-9.45am or register as a team via our event link. TEAM REGISTRATIONS via online link - player details not needed for rego.

⭐️Junior Comp (ages 8-12years)
⭐️Youth Comp (ages 13-17years)

🔹7 v 7 with max 10 per team (minimum 2 girls per team)

🔹Gold Coast Suns Academy fun games during lunch
