This fall, Mansfield comes alive with pride, tradition, and togetherness during Mansfield Days: A Community Homecoming Celebration, held September 27, 2025. It’s more than just a festival — it’s a heartfelt tribute to everything that makes our town truly special.
From our humble beginnings rooted in agriculture and driven by the strength of small businesses, Mansfield’s story is one of hard work, innovation, and unwavering community pride. We celebrate those deep roots — the farmers who shaped our fields, the shop owners who kept our main streets thriving, and the generations of families who’ve called Mansfield home.
One of the highlights of Mansfield Days is honoring our claim to fame — as the Home of the First-Ever Night Football Game, played right here in 1892. That historic moment not only put Mansfield on the map but also laid the foundation for our lasting connection to what was once Mansfield Normal School — now known as Commonwealth University – Mansfield. Our relationship with the university is one of mutual support and shared purpose — a bond that continues to shape the future of our region.
On Saturday, September 27, we will gather to celebrate all of us — the people of Mansfield. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or newly rooted, this day honors the entire community — our spirit, our struggles, our triumphs, and our bright future.
