CXIA - MICT SETA 4IR Hackathon 2026

The CXIA - MICT SETA Hackathon 2026 is a 3-day innovation sprint that brings together students from universities and colleges across South Africa to solve real industry challenges through technology, creativity, and collaboration.

Tackling real-world challenges in manufacturing, engineering, and technology through collaborative innovation.

A platform for students to develop disruptive solutions that address industry needs and drive digital transformation.

Bringing together top talent from universities and TVET colleges across South Africa's provinces.

Bridging the gap between education and industry, creating pathways for graduates into the workforce.

The target participants for the hackathon are students from the following institutions in Limpopo: Tshwane University of Technology, University of Venda, University of Limpopo, MLab and Capricorn TVET college.

Part of the activities to unfold in a build-up to the series include a combination of master classes, webinars and workshops.
