How Do Sound Baths Work?
The first time I heard the term sound bath about 15 years ago, I pictured soaking in a tub with music playing. 😂 Nope! no water involved (even though I do love a good bath!) This practice is not a new modality. It is a very ancient practice. One to assist with connecting us deeper within. Sound baths are generally laying down on a yoga mat on your back. But I have done many different variations of sound baths with. SUP yoga on a lake, yin yoga immersions, interactive children sessions, and private sessions. There really isn’t any right or wrong way on how to attend a sound bath. It’s really whatever feels right for you.💓
A sound bath surrounds you in gentle, healing vibrations created by crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, Koshi chimes, and guided meditation.
These sounds don’t just relax, they bring you into a deep state of ultimate bliss.
They activate your parasympathetic nervous system (the one that tells your body it’s safe to rest, breathe, and heal). As the vibrations wash over you like a ray of sunshine ☀️ they help release feel-good chemicals, reduce pain signals, and guide you back into balance, peace, and presence.
