After 120 years, St. Andrew’s Church, at 808 Manitou Avenue, across from the town clock, held its final deconsecration service on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Thanks to the generosity of the church’s diocese, our community has a unique opportunity to transform the historic Sanctuary of St. Andrew’s into a community space for all, alongside food pantries and other support services. The Manitou Art Center will be facilitating this process and inviting you to be a part of imagining the possibilities!
The Manitou Springs Arcade, itself a beloved historic attraction, is stepping up to help the MAC and St. Andrew's vision. The Game Changer event is a community fundraiser where a portion of the proceeds from one day at the Arcade is donated to the MAC.
On Saturday, October 11, our goal is two-fold: to raise $25,000 so the MAC can launch this amazing community space in the heart of downtown Manitou. Additionally, funds raised will go towards supporting the MAC in continuing its community work.
There will be opportunities to visit and provide feedback on the St. Andrew’s Community Center project on location throughout the day.
So, come on out on October 11, play some games, challenge your friends, have fun AND support the Manitou Art Center. After that, swing by St. Andrew’s and be a part of making something great happen!
Together, we can turn small change into big change!
