October 26, 2025 · 4pm · 1111 Wildcat Creek Rd, Manhattan, KS
Join us as we welcome local poets Tim Keane and Ryan Kegley to Prairiewood's Walnut Pond & Educational Pavilion for an outdoor reading of their poetry, surrounded by the natural beauty of the native tallgrass prairie!
This event is free and open to the public.
ABOUT TIM KEANE:
Tim Keane is Emeritus Professor of Landscape Architecture at K-State, where he taught and researched from 1984 through 2021. Tim has been writing poems for some fifty years in both traditional and "cowboy" form. Sonnets still scare him, and pentameter is something he has yet to understand, but he loves the perspective of poetry, how it plays with perspective of science, and how both seem necessary for a more complete view of place. He is the author of two collections, A Gathering of Kestrels and Green Broke.
ABOUT RYAN KEGLEY:
Ryan Kegley lives in the Flint Hills on the outskirts of Manhattan, Kansas. His work has appeared in The New Territory and Writing the Land: Wanderings I and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Attendance, his first chapbook, was published in April by Hilltop Editions.
