The creative team behind “Weather Hunters” will introduce and lead the Q and A for the final two screenings, at 2 and 3 pm.

Show staffers include:

Dete Meserve, showrunner and executive producer
Carin Greenberg, executive producer and developed the series
John Semper, executive producer and head writer
Dana Landry, CEO, Island of Misfits animation studio, Nova Scotia
Enjoy hands-on activities, family board games, and more throughout the day. “Weather Hunters” star Lily Hunter will also make an appearance for photos with visitors.

Screenings feature the following episodes:

“Weather Hunters: The Leaf Painter”: Jumping in leaves with her family prompts Lily to wonder how and why leaves change color in the fall. When her brother Benny mentions seeing a “Leaf Painter” who paints the autumn leaves, Lili and sister Corky believe he thinks that’s how the leaves change color, and Lily sets out to disprove it. At the State Park, Lily investigates and discovers that leaves don’t actually change color at all– their color is always there, just covered up by green chlorophyll which dissipates in the fall. She also discovers that the Leaf Painter is real: it's A.H. Bingham, a local landscape artist who paints pictures of autumn leaves, not the leaves themselves.

“Weather Hunters: Finding Cumulus”: When the Hunters go on a picnic at the state park, they discover a stowaway: a friendly puppy. However, the dog soon starts behaving strangely, and Lily notices other animals in the park are, too: fish are jumping out of the pond, and butterflies are hiding in crevices. Lily investigates and discovers that all the animals are reacting to an impending rainstorm, though it’s still miles away, because they’re able to sense the storm in ways that humans can’t. Meanwhile, the Hunters fall in love with the adorable pup and want to keep him but must try to find his rightful owner first. When they learn he’s a foster dog looking for his forever home, the Hunters eagerly welcome their new pet, naming him Cumulus, after the cloud he resembles.
