N A E P D S × Philharmonic in Central Park

The New Amsterdam Exterior Portable Dining Society's supper at the annual concert in Central Park by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

During the summer, since 1965, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra gives a free concert on the Great Lawn of Central Park, usually topped off with a fireworks show. New Yorkers come, camp out, and picnic on the lawn... en *masse*.

The N.A.E.P.D.S. (a group of better-than-average picnicking enthusiasts) traditionally stakes (and defends) a modest territory, and coordinates a crowd-sourced picnic for this event. So if you want to pool resources to up your exterior portable dining game, join the NAEPDS.
