International Women Artists’ Salon is thrilled to announce a continued partnership with NYC’s Funkadelic Studios in Hell’s Kitchen to showcase creative work by self-identifying women and non-binary artists from around the world. This expanding partnership will showcase works across all creative disciplines that include or are inspired by music.
Salon Lounge MUSIC at Funkadelic Studios September ‘25 showcase will feature another stellar lineup with host extraordinaire Dale Novella.

Teaching Artist Project (TAP), a program of Community-Word Project, is a comprehensive jobs training program designed to guide artists through bringing their creative process into the classroom by developing skills to model creative expression, collaboration, and teaching for social justice through innovative multidisciplinary arts lessons.

Paying artists is a top goal of both IWAS and Funkadelic Studios to contribute towards the stable economic well-being of being an artist, the irreplaceable foundation of a robust society.

IWAS was founded in 2008 by fine-art photographer and cultural collaborator Heidi Russell. IWAS' Salon Lounge launched its first stage at the infamous Dixon Place (Salon Lounge at Dixon Place) on the Lower East Side of NYC during the mid-2010s, with over 60 45-minute showcases of works across all creative disciplines.
