We’re hitting peak summer vibes, and that means one thing: Dumplings & Dub is back on Friday 16 January at Brewed As. Fish and Bread Sound System are rolling in with those warm, heavy dub reggae rhythms that turn a summer twlight into something extra special.

We’ll be serving up dumplings – steamed, crispy, and full of flavour – alongside a few selections from our evening menu, cold drinks, good company, and that unmistakable Mangawhai mid-summer buzz. It’s one of our favourite events of the year for a reason.

If you’ve been before, you know the vibe. If you haven’t, this is the perfect time to jump in. Good music. Good food. Good people. That’s Dumplings & Dub. Fish & Bread is a hand-made reggae sound system, built to celebrate the rich catalogue of reggae based music originating from Jamaica and Europe over the last 50 years. Built in the tradition of European sound systems, our sound brings a unique vibe and character that can’t be achieved on a regular PA.

They select tunes with a message and a means to connect the dance together, and unite as one family. Expect a musical journey from the mystical to the militant and beyond.
