Studio X is officially launching, and Roald Dahl’s Matilda Jr. will be the inaugural production in this new youth performance space. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic young performers to help us open Studio X with a dynamic and heart-filled musical.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Rehearsals begin after the cast list is posted.

AUDITION INFORMATION
• Audition cuts from selected songs will be sent once you have registered. You will perform this cut based on the character(s) you choose to audition for.
• Cold readings from the script will be provided
• A brief movement call will be included
• Callbacks, if needed, will be announced after auditions

MATILDA WORMWOOD
Brilliant, brave, and imaginative. A strong singer and actor who can convey both wit and emotional depth.
MISS HONEY
Gentle, kind, and compassionate. Warm vocal quality and expressive acting.
MISS TRUNCHBULL
A comedic villain with bold physicality. Larger-than-life presence, strong comedic timing.
MR. WORMWOOD
Matilda’s flashy, self-absorbed father. Comedic, energetic, and character-driven.
MRS. WORMWOOD
Dramatic, glamorous, and obsessed with ballroom dancing. Strong comedic instincts.
MICHAEL WORMWOOD
Matilda’s indifferent older brother. Minimal dialogue with comedic effect.
BRUCE BOGTROTTER
A spirited student who becomes an unexpected hero. Big personality and confidence.
LAVENDER
Matilda’s quirky, enthusiastic best friend. Fun comedic role.
