The government’s Get Britain Working White Paper highlights the importance of supporting people into “good jobs.” But what do we actually mean by “good work” — and what does this look like in practice for employability professionals?
This interactive workshop is designed for employability professionals working in a range of settings, including Jobcentres, local authority services, and the private and third sectors. Together, we’ll explore how the concept of “good work” can inform and enhance your practice, gain fresh insights into the latest thinking on the topic, and contribute to the creation of new resources for the employability sector.
The event will also provide a valuable space to connect and share experiences with fellow professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Supported by the ESRC’s Festival of Social Science, this event is jointly organised by researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University, the Institute of Employability Professionals, the Employment Related Services Association, and the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.
