The Coffee County Democratic Party presents a documentary screening of the film "The Price of Freedom".
The Price of Freedom examines the gun violence epidemic in America and the role the National Rifle Association has played over time. The film features interviews with government leaders, NRA representatives, and people whose lives have been personally touched by gun violence.
After the screening, representatives from gun control advocacy groups in Tennessee will participate in a panel discussion with the audience.
In the wake of recent high-profile shootings, it is crucial that we understand how the presence of high-powered firearms has affected the safety of Americans, and the battle between the NRA and gun control advocates from the 1960s all the way to today.
Please be advised:
This event is NOT a critique of the victims of any recent shootings. If you would like to argue for the justification of any gun violence, or would like to critique the character of any gun violence victim, then we kindly ask that you do not attend this event. Any discussion of either topics will not be tolerated at the event. Thank you for your understanding.

After the open discussion, we will be hosting a spaghetti dinner in the same venue, from 6 to 7 pm. Salad and breadsticks will also be served. We hope that you will stick around for a hearty dinner social with like-minded people in the community.
