MANCHESTER, NH – On Thursday, January 29th, 2026, Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam continues its popular open mic poetry series at Stark Brewing Company. This week there will be an open mic followed by the Sock Puppet Slam, hosted by Nate Puppets! Doors open at 7:00 along with sign ups for the open mic. The show starts at 8:00. There is a $3-$5 sliding scale cover (cash and Venmo) and this is an all-ages show. (*for more details on Slam Free or Die, scroll to the bottom of this description)
About the Slam:
Poets will come prepared with original poetry to compete. They may bring a puppet of their own, but materials will also be provided before the show to make one. This will be the only prop allowed in the slam, but we are excited to see the performances that will come out of this!
Accessibility Information:
The entrance to our show is at the back of the building with no stairs to enter the space. There is a ramp through the main bar for access to the ADA compliant bathrooms. For any other accessibility questions message our page or ask a staff member at the show.

Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm.
