MANCHESTER, NH – On Thursday, October 9, 2025, Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam continues its popular open mic poetry series at Stark Brewing Company. This week, there will be an open mic followed by a feature from Amy Argentar! There is a $3-$5 sliding scale cover and this is an all-ages show. About the Feature:
Amy Argentar (she/her) is a poet and nonprofit professional based in Boston. Chicago born-and-raised, she is proud to be from the birthplace of slam and will gladly invite you, reader, to have a long conversation in a dive bar about nothing in particular as long as you try Malort first. She is forever grateful for the poetry community, which has allowed her to write extensively on her relationship to emptiness, fullness, pain, legacy, and being the kid forever trying to figure out when to enter the conversation circle. Speaking of legacy, a kid wrote in her yearbook once that “Amy = #1 good” and she will spend the rest of her life trying to live up to that. Her first word was “hat” and her last word will likely be something similar profound. You can find her work at your local open mic, as well as via her three self-published chapbooks, All Burps Go to Heaven, Supposed To, and Everything But The.
Accessibility Information:
The entrance to our show is at the back of the building with no stairs to enter the space. There is a ramp through the main bar for access to the ADA compliant bathrooms. For any other accessibility questions message our page or ask a staff member at the show.

Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm. Featured poets and slams follows the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $3-$5 sliding scale cover charge.
