Christine Hurley
Christine Hurley loves what she does…making people laugh! Married to Jimmy Hurley and having five kids, Christine is never at a loss for comedic material.
Like any great comedian, Christine has an innate ability to see humor in “everyday” situations. For years, she entertained family, friends and neighbors in their kitchens, at barbeques and the grocery store aisles. The only difference now is she uses a microphone and a stage.
Christine’s maiden voyage into the world of stand up comedy was an open audition in New York City. The television network Nick at Nite was looking for “AMERICA’S FUNNIEST MOM.” She figured if it didn’t go well, no one in New York would have known who she was anyway…
Turns out it went well! Out of thousands of entries, Christine was selected to be a finalist on the nationally televised show. The producers of the show included Carol Leifer (Seinfeld show producer), Jeff Singer (talent scout, Montreal Comedy Festival), Jeffrey Ross (Comedy Central roast master) and actress Sandra Bernhardt.
Her stories and views on motherhood and marriage are exactly what everyone is living through…people get it and love it!
Christine Hurley has quickly become a favorite in the Boston comedy world. She just got a standing ovation at Denis Leary’s Comics Come Home, one of the biggest comedy event in the country!
Kathe Farris
Kathe Farris is a Boston-based stay-at-home mom, stand-up comedian, and snack cake enthusiast. She hit the comedy scene a little late in life with a different point of view and killer material. After becoming a Comic-in-Residence at The Comedy
Studio and a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival, she recently released her national debut with a Dry Bar Comedy Special as well as her album “Have you seen this woman” available anywhere you get your music, comedy and podcasts.
With an eye for detail and an understated edge that speaks to grandparents and frat bros alike, Kathe performs regularly at everything from corporate events to a basement show full of hipsters (one time, went great). Her weekly show, Farris and Friends Comedy Hour, even became “The Boston Globe’s Critics Choice.” They didn’t give her a plaque so she made one. She’ll show you later. Kendra Cunningham
Kendra Cunningham is a Boston-born stand-up comic, comedy writer, actress and filmmaker living in Brooklyn, where she owns a super comfortable bed. She also bartends and has an MA in Forensic Psychology. Kendra spends most of her time wondering where the hell her sugar daddy is and hoping he didn’t settle. Kendra regularly contributes to The Huffington Post and the comedic relationship blog Beauty and the Beast. Her short films have been screened at a number of festivals; Lonelygirl48, which she wrote and acted in, won the Boston Comedy Festival and the Palm Beach Women’s International Film Festival. She has been featured in Time Out New York and on CNN Money, among other publications.
