This is the first in a new series of monthly Contact Improvisation sessions at our home in Manchester.
A space to move, connect, and explore how bodies meet through attention and touch.
Each evening begins with a guided introduction, offering simple movement explorations to help everyone arrive, loosen, and tune in.
It is the perfect place to begin, with no previous experience needed.
After that, the space opens into a shared improvisation jam, where we follow curiosity, expression, weight, and listening through spontaneous movement.
Contact Improvisation is an open dance practice where movement unfolds through connection.
It can be slow or dynamic, playful or quiet, an exploration of balance, gravity, and communication without words.
A chance to find presence through shared action.
Come as you are.
All bodies are welcome.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, bring water, and an open mind.
Whether you are new to the practice or have been dancing for years, you are warmly invited to join us.
