Conference Purpose Statement:
This conference will examine the impact of cultural, economic, and environmental factors on healthcare decisions and delivery on a global level. Speakers will share firsthand experiences from working with marginalized and at-risk populations in Tanzania, Honduras, Taiwan, and the United States, offering valuable insights into the unique challenges faced in diverse healthcare settings
Overall Conference Objectives:
Upon completion of this conference the attendees will be able to:
• Discuss global health principles and practices utilized in hands-on medical mission work in Honduras and Tanzania, demonstrating cultural competence, adaptability in resource-limited settings, and the ability to address diverse healthcare needs in these regions.
• Discuss barriers and complications associated with working with marginalized and/or at-risk populations.
• Describe how Taiwanese culture influences healthcare practice and decisions.
